The silent DC/DC chargers to be carried in your vehicles

Selfenergy® DC/DC battery chargers ensure optimal charging of your auxiliary batteries, whatever their chemistry, from the engine battery and the alternator of your vehicles. They directly integrate the DC/DC converter function from 9V to 59V and the separator-coupler to protect the engine battery.

Selfenergy®’s range of DC/DC chargers is divided into 3 categories depending on the nominal input voltages.

Parallel chargers for higher power

The Converty DC is an intelligent charger with an integrated communicating part that creates a link with the BMS of a lithium battery.

We use the CAN Bus communication protocol to connect our products to each other, and thus to parallelise them.

We develop and produce high-efficiency converters with natural cooling (no fan). Parallelization allows us to keep the advantages of the standard DC converter, while multiplying its power rating.

Power up to 1600W or 2000W with active cooling

This feature increases the charging speed of your batteries tenfold, while remaining on a standard grid.
Parallel DC converters can have different power sources with different input voltages (12V, 24V or 48V) to charge a single battery.

Communicating chargers

Selfenergy® chargers are equipped with a CAN link that allows them to communicate directly with the BMS (Battery Management System) of the batteries to adapt in real time the charging voltage and current. This technology is ideal for Li-ion and Ni-MH batteries.

The CAN bus communication also gives the possibility to connect the Selfenergy® remote display. This touch screen will allow you to consult the essential information of your batteries (State of charge SOC, state of health SOH…).

With the help of our configuration software, you will be able to access the configuration of the chargers allowing you to have full control over the charging process.

They complete the classic 3-step charges (boost/absorption/float) with additional steps that aim to offer you an optimal recharge according to the type of your batteries (Lead, Li-Ion, Ni-MH …) and your application.

Customised charging profiles are also available on demand and can be set up.

All Selfenergy® chargers, up to 1000W, work with passive cooling and therefore without fan, while guaranteeing an efficiency of 97% and more. For higher power ratings, Selfenergy® chargers work with active cooling.

Waterproof

IP43

With an IP54 waterproof rating (in accordance with IEC 60529), the chargers are protected against tools and small wires larger than 1 millimetre and are perfectly suited to various on-board and stationary applications.
